My name is Maria-Christina Mitsou and I am the scientific director and creator of Self Discovery. I graduated from the Psychology Program of the Hellenic University of Athens and since then I have not stopped training and certifying myself in psychotherapeutic interventions that will allow me to approach people synthetically, scientifically, with respect to their personal history and empathy. In my educational and clinical career, working with people, I continually reaffirm the belief I have held from the beginning as a therapist: whatever we experience as dysfunctional is the way our system has chosen to adapt to external circumstances and communicate important information about our situation. The more open we allow ourselves to decode these messages, the more confidence in ourselves and our strengths increases. Carefully and with indulgence, we need to give space and time for observation, recognition, sharing and acceptance.
