Dermatologist Dr. Eftychia Platsidakis was born and raised in Athens. She is a specialized Dermatologist- Venereologist, a graduate of Medicine of the University of Ioannina since 2006. She completed her specialty in Syggros Hospital of Dermatological and Venereal Diseases in Athens. Since September 2018 she has been a Research Fellow in the Department of Peeling and Hyperhidrosis and in the Department of Skin Tests where she provides clinical and research work. She specializes in a range of medical, cosmetic and surgical dermatology as well as in treating conditions and diseases of the skin in infants, children and teens. She also diagnoses and treats all disorders of the skin, hair, and nails.<\/p>\n

Her doctoral thesis at the University of Athens is about melasma and how to deal with it. She has published more than 30 papers in many international journals as well as in Greek Scientific dermatological journals on topics such as hands eczema, autoimmune diseases with skin manifestations, chemical peelings, acne, skin cancer, skin tags etc.\u00a0 She participates in research protocols and clinical studies on psoriasis and urticaria.<\/p>\n

She is specialized in dermoscopy with a Cardiff dermoscopy diploma in Great Britain. She participates in lectures at many European and Greek Dermatology conferences highlighting the need for continuing education and training.<\/p>\n

She has experience in hospitals abroad (Cyprus and England). She is a member of the Greek Association of Dermatology \u2013 Venereology, the European Academy of Dermatology \u2013 Venereology (EADV), the International Dermatology Association and the International Peeling Society (IPS). He is also a registered member of the Athens Medical Association as well as the British Medical Association.<\/p>\n
