Apostolos Maziotis is a graduate of the Medical School of Ioannina, where he graduated with a degree with honors. He graduated from the Model Evangelical School of Smyrna where after successfully participating in the Panhellenic examinations he was admitted to the Medical School of the University of Ioannina.

He completed his theoretical and practical training in medicine after six years with many commendations (excellence in the course of pathological anatomy under the chair of Professor Agnanti) and participation in conferences, workshops of various chairs (Pathology Prof. Mr. Moutsopoulos, Surgery Prof. Mr. Kappas, Orthopedics Prof. Mr. Supakos, Gynecology, Otolaryngology, Urology).

Then followed the fulfillment of the compulsory service in the field (Rural) at the Paramythia Health Center where he was seconded to the surgical sector of the Prefectural Hospital of Thesprotia as a resident surgeon, also covering the Orthopedic Clinic, Ophthalmology, Gynecology and Otolaryngology Clinic.

He participated in a multitude of procedures involving the above specialties as well as training in emergency medicine (emergency department) and anaesthetic emergency.

He then fulfilled his military service as the sole responsible physician of a unit in Alexandroupolis and finally at the General Military Hospital 401 of Athens, plastic surgery department and burns unit. During the same period he participated in microsurgical and reconstructive rehabilitation procedures at NIMITS Hospital.

During the next six years, he did his internship in plastic surgery at the Athens General Hospital of the KAT of which the first two years he was a resident surgeon in the first general surgery department and Laparoscopic surgery unit of the KAT where he gained significant experience in Laparoscopic surgery and in the treatment of severely injured patients. This included training at the First Orthopedic Clinic and the Thoracic Surgery Clinic of the same hospital.

At the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Clinic and Burn Unit of the KAT Hospital, he gained considerable experience in cosmetic surgery and reconstructive rehabilitation, in the treatment of severe trauma and accidents, burns, dermatological oncology and microsurgery.

During his residency he participated and performed numerous procedures and at the same time trained in the whole range of laser applications alongside leading plastic surgeons from abroad and Greece.

He attended a significant number of conferences and post-graduate seminars in Greece and abroad in the fields of cosmetic medicine, laser surgery and microsurgery.

He has published in Greek and international journals and conferences.

Today he maintains a plastic and laser surgery practice in the center of Glyfada and collaborates with major hospitals in Athens while at the same time he is actively involved in post-graduate seminars in the United States, the United Kingdom and Italy for the application of new techniques abroad to Greece and the Greek patient.

He is a member of the Athens Medical Association and the Hellenic Society of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. He is also a member of foreign societies (IPRAS & EBOPRAS).
