Obstetrician – Gynaecologist, specialised in Great Britain and at the Aretaios Hospital.

Christina Vantzou was born in Athens in 1973. She graduated from the 2nd Lyceum of Glyfada and entered the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) in 1992. She received her degree with the grade “excellent” in 1998. During her studies, she trained for three months in the Department of Surgery at the Hopital Boucicaut Hospital in Paris (1996).

After completing her field service at the Voulgareli Health Centre of Arta (1999-2000), she worked as a resident at the Surgical Clinic of the General Hospital of Preveza (2000-2002), where she completed the first part of her residency, and at the Pathology Department of the University General Hospital of Ioannina (2002-2003).

She then moved to Great Britain, where she worked for 1.5 years as a SHO in obstetrics and gynaecology at Prince Charles Hospital in Merthyr Tydfil, Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn and Luton and Dunstable Hospital in Luton (2003-2005). There she came into contact with a large number of obstetric and gynaecological cases. She also obtained her ALSO (Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics) qualification after successfully completing the course of the same name at North Tees University Hospital.

From 2005 to 2010 she worked as a resident at the 2nd Obstetrics and Gynaecology Clinic of the University of Athens, Aretaios Hospital, where, in addition to attending the general departments, she was also trained in the Special Departments of the Clinic: High Risk Pregnancy, Ultrasound, Urogynaecology, Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology, Endoscopic Surgery, Oncology and Assisted Reproduction.

She has attended seminars and clinical tutorials in colposcopy and cervical pathology, urogynecology and pelvic floor disorders, and endoscopic surgery (hysteroscopy, laparoscopy).
He is a member of the General Medical Council of Great Britain, the European Society of Contraception and the Athens Medical Association.
Since 2012 he has been running a private practice in Glyfada, Attica.
She is married and mother of four children.
