Our history begins in 1989 when our first personal store was created within the newly established shopping center “EUROCENTER” on 27-29 IOAN.METAXA Street in Glyfada.
It was a very hospitable and well decorated space where we possessed high technology ophthalmic equipment and a rich collection of products of international reputation and radiance of many renowned foreign optical brands.
In 1990, a professional partnership was established with the LUXOTICA GROUP for the exclusive distribution of its branded products in the area of Glyfada. This store diversified and evolved with great reliability in the following areas:

Thus it experienced rapid growth and was the reason for the name of the company “STUDIO OPTICS A.MARDIKIS” to become known to most of the world, reliable in the circle of optics and to create a remarkable and constantly growing clientele.
In 1994 after the end of a successful five years and after gaining the trust of our customers, the company decided to enlarge its headquarters due to increased needs and customer service and due to the growing competition. The result of this decision was the creation of a second larger store in the center of Glyfada at 33 AGG.METAXA Street within the well-known shopping center “Florida Mall”. The decoration and construction of the new store was undertaken by the architect and well-known decorator Mr. Dimitris Tsitsos with absolute success.
So in November 1994 our store started to operate in a new location, having now:
- Independent areas of presentation and sales units.
- Laboratory unit
- Contact lens unit
- Autonomous unit for eye examinations and refractive tests.
In the same year, the company’s partnerships were expanded to include all the major eyewear and contact lens brands, giving us the opportunity to meet the most difficult fashion demands and needs of our customers.
In 1997 the need for optical applications and eye services in the Municipality of Spetses arose and with the valuable cooperation of Mr. Ioannis Anestasakis – an experienced and reliable optician – a new store was created in a well-organized and decorated space by Mr. Titsos in the central market of Spetses.
This store which operates in an area of 50 square meters has a sales area, a laboratory, a contact lens department and a refractive testing unit to fully meet the needs of the region.
In 2005, after we have gained valuable experience and knowledge of 23 years and the quality of the products and services we offer is now recognized in the market, we decided to move our headquarters to the most central point of the market of Glyfada, at the address AG. METAXA 22. In a specially designed area with large display windows for the exhibition and presentation of the most Exclusive and Unlimited products of the global optical market.
