The veterinary clinic provides services for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases related to dogs and cats.

In each case it is considered very important for the pet guardian to understand what steps are required to diagnose the existing pathological condition and determine the relevant prognosis.

The guardian is informed of the therapeutic approaches and the results obtained in order to decide, in collaboration with the veterinarian, what further action should be taken.

Factors that are usually taken into account are the expectations of the guardian, the age of the animal, the nature of the disease and the risk-benefit ratio.

History taking and clinical examination are crucial and shall be carried out before any diagnostic or therapeutic procedure and independently of any tests that may already have been carried out.

Informing the guardian of the possible complications that may accompany any surgical procedure is considered of major importance and special attention is given to ensure that these are understood.

Particular attention is also given to the analgesia that the pet should receive before, during and after the completion of each surgical procedure.

The veterinary practice has a waiting room, a clinical examination room, a radiology laboratory, a room for the preparation and performance of ‘septic’ surgical procedures, a surgical room for performing ‘aseptic’ operations and a nursing room.

With the exception of emergencies and to avoid pet stress, unnecessary waiting and to support smooth operation, it is clearly preferable to schedule an appointment by telephone.
