46 years ago, the Foreign Language Centre “VAKKAS” opened for the first time in the beautiful suburb of Glyfada, bringing a new air to the educational landscape of foreign language learning. The founders of the center, Nikolaos & Anna Vakka, having served in recognized educational organizations in Great Britain (International House) for 46 years, offer their services to the learning youth of Glyfada and continue with the same enthusiasm, love and dedication to offer learning to the children of their students.

In the 80’s and 90’s the question :

– “Where are you going for English?”

had one answer:

A benchmark in foreign language education in Glyfada with countless successes and effectively helping students to acquire the necessary qualifications in Foreign Languages to continue in their academic life or professional career.
Nikos & Anna Vakka, were English teachers for many years and summer courses at INTERNATIONAL HOUSE LONDON in Great Britain and founded VAKAS Foreign Language Schools, one of the first Language Schools in Glyfada. They were the first to introduce the DIRECT METHOD, an innovative teaching method that they still use today with amazing results. DIRECT METHOD is based exclusively on learning a foreign language without the use of the mother tongue.
